How to get a game going in under a minute

  1. 01

    Open the page

SugarStrike loads in the browser. Nothing installs, and there is no sign-up step between you and the first round.

  2. 02

    Host or join a room

Hosting gives you a room code. Send it to friends and they are in — up to eight of you in the same match, each on their own device.

  3. 03

Grab the candy, dodge the seekers

One side hunts, the other runs. Seekers vs Props turns the whole thing into a hiding game instead.

What is actually in it

Four things that make one round different from the last.

Up to eight players on one room code

Host a room, share the code, and up to eight players join from their own browsers.

No lobby accounts and no friend lists to manage. Whoever has the code is in the match, on whatever device they happen to be holding.

A story mode with something to beat

The Great Sugar Heist runs six chapters and a finale, on Easy, Medium or Hard.

Each chapter is scored out of three stars — one for finishing it, one for never being caught, one for beating the clock. Progress saves on your own device.

A candy shop that changes how you play

Coins earned in matches buy launchers, items, abilities and upgrades.

Items are used up when you fire them. Upgrades stay with you for the whole match, so what you spend on before a round actually matters.

Your look, your stickers, your settings

Customise your character, collect stickers and tune the controls to the device you are on.

Stickers cost nothing. On a phone, turn it sideways — the controls are built for landscape.

Everything you can do in it

Candy tag for up to eight players, straight in the browser. Share a room code and go — no download, no ads, no accounts.

Seekers vs Props

A hiding mode where one side disguises itself as the scenery.

Practice against bots

A one-minute Learn to play drill, then full matches against bots.

Explore mode

Endless candy worlds with three save slots to come back to.

Three-star chapters

Finish it, avoid capture, beat the clock. All three or try again.

Installable

Add it to a phone home screen and it opens like an app.

Progress stays local

Saves live on the device, not in an account you have to remember.

No account, no ads, nothing to install

SugarStrike never asks who you are. There is no sign-up, no advertising between rounds, and your progress is saved on the device you played on.

  • No account to create and no email to hand over
  • No ads, and no real-money purchases — shop items are bought with coins you earn by playing
  • Progress, stars and Explore save slots stored on your own device
  • Nothing to install, though you can add it to a home screen if you want

Free to play, kept free by players

SugarStrike is free and stays free. If you want to put something behind it there is a Buy Me a Coffee link in the game — but playing it, sharing a room code and telling us what broke help just as much. Some characters and 3D models are by Kenney.

SugarStrike questions, answered

Each answer opens with the answer. That is the format assistants and search engines quote from.
